The Eifelrennen
The return of a legend.
18th June - 20th June, 2010
Organised by the ADAC-Nordrhrein e.V. at
the Nuerburgring (Germany)
Since 1922 the ADAC holds a race in the
Eifel-Region near Aachen and Koblenz. The legendary Nuerburgring is the place
where the first Eifelrennen took place on a race track in 1927. It was the
premier opening race of the news race track. Until 1927 the Eifelrennen was
held on public roads as a Targa-Florio -like race since 1922.
Four years ago the Eifelrennen returned
to the Nuerburgring as a historic revival. Main part of the racing days for classic
cars are the Grand-Prix-Track and the legendary Nordschleife with 21 km length
for one lap. A lot of the history of the Nuerburgring is based on the famous
races on the Nordschleife - a competitive track for ambitious drivers.
The Eifelrennen will see the following

De Eifelrennen
Een legende herleeft.
18 - 20 juni, 2010.
Georganiseerd door de ADAC
regio Nordrhein op de Nürburgring.
Sinds 1922 organiseert de
ADAC een race in het Eifel gebied nabij Aken en Koblenz. Het was in 1927 dat de race voor het eerst
plaatsvond op de legendarische Nüburgring. Het was de openingsrace van het beroemde
circuit. Voor 1927 werden de Eifel
rennen georganiseerd op openbare wegen,
net zoals de Targa Florio sinds 1922.
Vier jaar geleden keerde de Eifelrennen terug
naar de Nürburgring als een historisch race festival. Voor klassieke (race) wagens zijn het Grand
Prix parcours en de roemruchte Nordschleife natuurlijk het meest interessant,
tesamen goed voor een ronde van 21 km (!) . Het merendeel van de Nürburgring
historie is gebaseerd op de beroemde
Nordschleife, een zeer uitdagend traject voor competitie rijders.
